“I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me” (Philippians 4:13)
This verse reminds me that with Christ’s strength, I can overcome obstacles and achieve great things. It encourages faith and trust in God’s power and presence in my life. This verse offers hope in desperate situations, reassuring me that I am not alone, and finally, the verse inspires perseverance, urging me to push forward in my Consecration as a Capuchin Friar Minor.

What I enjoy with my word of life is the relationship it makes between peace, charity and joy. I chose it because my personal vision is to be a brother who has interior and exterior peace, a brother who is and will always wish to sacrifice himself in fraternal charity. All these acts of peace and charity are to be accomplished in joy, it has been and remains my intense desire to always be a joyful brother and to share this joy to others. I long to have more laughter in the Lord’s service, that is why I will always love to reconnect myself with the joy, peace, charity and laughter embodied in the person of Jesus Christ.

“Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.” (John 21:17).
Just like Simon Peter who for the third time in relation to the fundamental question of Christ: “Peter do you love me?” Exclaimed almost angrily: Lord, you know everything; you know I love you, despite his weaknesses. In the same perspective, after serious meditation over my life and self examination, I found myself more like peter who despite his human frailty, reaffirms his love for Christ who knows him better. To whom could Peter go to than Christ. Whom could he love more than Christ who knows everything? This reflection made me choose this phrase for my perpetual profession: “Lord, you know everything; you know I love you.” (John 21:17). For me to remain firm in this commitment of Love, I decided to chose psalm 139:23-24 as my personal prayer to accompany me in this relationship of Love: ” Lord, examine me and know my heart, test me and know my concerns. Make sure that I am not on my way to ruin, and guide me on the road to eternity” ( Cf. Psalms 139:23-24).

“I will never abandon you because I have written your name on the Palms of my hand” (Isaiah 49:16)
Choosing this phrase for my perpetual profession has been inspired by our daily reality, that is, moments of trials, where we have the impression that God has departed from us,and we are left on our own. We feel like the best thing to do is to give up everything, but here comes Isaiah reassuring me of the perpetual presence of God. Yes he tells me that no matter what I go through, i should stay still and believe that God is there with me, he has not and will never abandon me because he has written my name in the palms of his hand.

“I know in whom I have put my trust, and I have no doubt at all that he is able to safeguard until that day what I have entrusted to him” 2Tim1:12.
This choice is so particular to me because it keeps me focus and always on the journey. It is my faith conviction that God, who has initiated his work in my life can never abandon me, nor leave me alone. He knows my unworthiness but He has decided to journey with me. Therefore, I on my part, entrust myself whole heartedly into His hands.
